Ah, the 90s. They were the best of times, they were the times of questionable fashion and amazing Saturday morning television, but most of all, it raised a generation of awesome kids.
Not that I’m biased or anything.
That said, we had our struggles. Here are 15 that will have you steeped in nostalgia if the 90s played any part of your identity growing up.
#9. We thought pagers were so cool.
Until we had no phone to call someone back.
#8. Having to go out to return your tapes.
Or risk having your parents credit card on file charged. Shudder.
#7. “Running out” of pictures.
But on the flipside, finding one of these and not having a clue what was on it was amazing.
#6. Writing down all of your friends’ phone numbers.
Or memorizing them all, more likely.
#5. Having to decide what to tape over when you run out of space.
NOT THE DAWSON’S CREEK.
#4. Sitting in one of these in shorts.
In the summer.
#3. VCRs, man.
The struggle was so real.
#2. Back when you had to buy things in person.
And the employees were total sticklers about age restrictions.
#1. Having to chit-chat with your friends’ parents while you waited for them to come to the phone.
Or getting a busy signal for hours.
