If you’re like me, you start the day with coffee and end the day with wine, and a day without those bookends just doesn’t seem right (yet another reason pregnancy was so disorienting!). Now, thanks to artisanal roaster John Weaver (previously of Peet’s Coffee, which is the only coffee I drink at home), you can enjoy both together.
According to Forbes, Napa-based Molinari Caffe has released a line of wine-infused coffee. How? Well, according to the cafe’s website, “the full-bodied coffee beans relax in a beautiful small-batch, artisan-crafted wine, absorbing its nose and history. The coffee is then carefully dried and hand roasted in small batches.”
If you can get through that description without rolling your eyes, you might be a hipster snob. Just saying.
But the point remains – coffee + wine = good, right? It has to be!
The jury is still out as far as I’m concerned, because a): I haven’t tasted it and b): it confuses me. If you want to try it for yourself, you might be able to snag some of the limited quantity they’re selling. If not, don’t worry. I’m sure something similar will be coming to a hipster coffee house near you.
