You might remember the name Parker Curry from the viral photo last year, the one where the tiny little girl was caught staring in awe at the portrait of Michelle Obama in the National Gallery.

Her mother, Jessica Curry, says that if anything, Parker’s love has only grown since then.

“Parker talks about Michelle Obama every day. She lets people know every day that she is the one who met Michelle Obama and that she is friends with Michelle Obama.”

So, it’s probably not surprising that when asked what she wanted to be for Halloween, Parker’s immediate answer was the former First lady.

The stunning costume, a miniature replica of the gown Obama wore while posing for her portrait, was designed and created by Alisha Welsh of Magnolia Lake Children’s Clothing in New York.

Parker’s mom said that the first time she saw it, her “jaw dropped” at the pure perfection of the design – and she’s not the only one. Michelle Obama herself tweeted a response saying “You nailed the look, parker I love it!”

Parker’s idolization goes beyond a beautiful dress or a portrait, and as far as her mother is concerned, there’s no one better her daughter could look up to.

“As a female and as a girl of color, it’s really important that I show Parker people who look like her that are doing amazing things and are making history so that she knows she can do it, too.”

Rock on, Parker. We’re all with you.
