Before I had kids, my parents did a lot of dog sitting. We called them Grandma and Grandpa, despite the fact that my father, especially, took exception to this. I wasn’t ever an indoor plant person, so they escaped that particular duty, but I’m just saying…
Now that I have kids, it’s definitely not the same.
Which is perhaps what Regan Spyer’s mom was trying to tell her after being tasked with keeping her daughter’s plants alive for a few days.
Asked my mom to open the blinds for my plants and she really just went above and beyond. pic.twitter.com/JOXjsrHFgn

Talk about not-so-subtle hints, mama. A grandplantrent, really?
The plants got a trip to the park…
And a ride in the stroller.
Not sure about those screen time choices, though, Grandma!
Basically, she’s proving that she can do the job, whenever (ahem) her daughter decides to give her real grandkids.
More power to her. I’m pretty sure if she asked my parents she might get an earful about how it’s more work than they imagined!
