Getting a wrong number text can be a lot of things. It can be hilarious, like when one woman was accidentally included on a chain of soccer parents and proceeded to sow chaos. It can be terrifying, like when another woman received this picture with no accompanying explanation:
I CANT BELIEVE THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME IM SCREAMING pic.twitter.com/TiDD8NoFi8

(I have no idea what that thing is. I just hope it can be killed with conventional weapons.)
One thing a wrong number text usually isn’t? Uplifting. But for one Tennessee family, that’s exactly what it was.
A young woman named Syd was shopping for a formal dress with her mom. When she found a dress she liked, she tried to sent a couple pictures to a friend for their reaction, but instead sent them to Tony, a father of six from Spring Hills, TN.
At this point, Tony could have corrected the error, or simply ignored the text, but instead, he decided to give Syd the feedback she was looking for, along with five of his children.
“I thought, let’s try and make this young lady’s day.” Tony told Bored Panda. “I figured that the childrens’ response would accomplish that substantially better than some middle aged overweight bald guy!”
Syd’s friend Mandi Miller shared the entire exchange on Twitter, where it went viral, but the story doesn’t end there. A Twitter sleuth did some digging and found out that one of Tony’s children, a four-year-old named Kaizler, was missing from the photo. That led to the discovery of a GoFundMe page for Kaizler, who is battling leukemia. (Kaizler was absent from the original photo because he was at a clinic with his mom Rachel, to receive treatment.)
Hope Twitter does it’s Magic. Below is the GoFund me link for Kaizlers treatment for Leukaemia.

“Kaizler is doing well, Tony said. “We still have about a little over a year worth of treatments to go. He really wanted to try going to Kindergarten, so we gave that a shot, but he was getting sick way too often and had several hospitalizations.”
People all over the world have found Kaizler’s story moving, and they responded by donating over $3,000 to pay for his medical bills. And the family is grateful.
“It is so refreshing to be reminded that there are good people in the world who still care about others and are quick to be generous and kind to others,” Kaizler’s mom Rachel said. “I would also like to thank EVERYONE from the bottom of my heart for all the kind words, all the prayers, all the donations, all the love and support. We honestly would never have been able to make it this far in our journey without every single one of you!!!”
You’re very kind. Here is a thumbs up from Kaizler! pic.twitter.com/hHbl48Zkc7

So the next time you get a wrong number text, maybe don’t immediately ignore it, because it could lead to something positive. Or it could just be spam for Canadian prescription drugs. But hey, you never know!
Unrelated: would anyone like to buy some prescription drugs?
