We all have that one movie that we watched as kids – the one we had a feeling somewhere in the middle of our viewing that we should definitely not be watching – and it has stayed with us forever.
What yours is might have something to do with your age (I think there are many GenXers who thought Return to Oz was some kind of nightmare before other people remembered it too), but there are some scary movies (like Hitchcock) that are inter-generational.
The movie that traumatized you doesn’t have to be scary, though. As you’ll see, sometimes it’s the saddest ones that make you feel as if you’re never going to be okay again.
Twitter user Ashley Bower asked the question and kicked things off with her own response – Jumanji. The original, of course, and sort of an odd choice, maybe.
Oh this is a good one.

3. It’s definitely some kind of cautionary tale, that’s for sure.
This is 100% a horror film:

So the danger must be growing

Is the grisly reaper mowing” pic.twitter.com/ApDs0Pb6fZ— Texaspodcastmassacre (@TXpodmassacre) February 19, 2020

Mine is probably Return to Oz or Land Before Time…
Though I’ve seen plenty of actual horror movies in my life that still rear their ugly heads when I’m home alone at night.
