What Would You Do If You Heard Your Child Talk About How He’d Killed His “Other Mother?”

Kids say things all the time that are weird and make no sense. Intellectually, we know that if we’re dealing with kids under the age of seven or eight they could be as easily talking nonsense, or using their imaginations, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still make every last hair on your body stand at attention.

Like this woman, whose son casually asked whether or not he would have lived if she had died while he was still in her tummy. She answered honestly, that it depended on how she died, and he went back to playing in the bath…

…until this came out of his mouth.

Holy crap, y’all. I would be freaking the heck out!

At least one Redditor thought she should have asked about this “other mother” to find out more, like perhaps it happened in a past life?

Others agreed, saying it sounded as if the “other mother” and the son might have both died in childbirth.

This person (who is kidding, I think) says nope, he’s just plotting to kill his mother move along.

While this commenter stated the obvious, that kids are weird and say weird stuff, but maybe sleep with a knife under your pillow for awhile just in case?

I’m not sure what I would think here, but I would definitely be creeped out!

Do you believe in past lives? If not, how do you explain all of the strange things kids say that seem as if they remember them?

Let’s talk about it in the comments!
