In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller, “life moves pretty fast; if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you might miss it.”

Or rather, in the spirit of this post, you might miss all of the opportunities to enjoy life while you’re busy stressing out about stuff that doesn’t matter.

What stuff, you ask?

These 15 people have some thoughts.

15. They’re apostles.

CrossFit.

Overpriced injury program.

14. Why, parents?

Youth sports

My son has played travel basketball, baseball, and football for the last 10 years.

I’ve seen fights, near riots, arguments, coaches get thrown out, players get thrown out, umps get thrown out, police called, guns pulled, and most anything else you can imagine.

Even when none of that is happening, people just take the whole thing like it’s the World Series. Fathers screaming profanity when their kids strikes out or misses a play, coaches shouting at players in the field for making an error, parents taunting kids from other teams, ridiculously poor sportsmanship from everyone.

It’s utterly ridiculous.

13. There are no guarantees.

Life….

Live it, stop worrying about things you can’t change and have fun. There’s no guarantee that tomorrow will come.

Don’t take life too seriously. You’ll never make it out alive.

Van Wilder

12. It’s actually awful.

Star Wars.

I love the movies, but we have a serious problem with toxicity in our fan base.

Hayden Christensen stopped acting and Ahmed Best (Jar Jar) nearly killed himself.

Not liking the Prequels or Sequels doesn’t give you the right to make those actors/actresses lives hell.

11. Stress less.

If you can fix the problem, don’t stress over it because you can and will fix it.

If there is nothing you can do about the problem, don’t stress over it, it goes how it goes and there is nothing you can do about it.

10. Their whole lives.

Disney.

An international multi-billion dollar company who has rooms of people who’s job it is to make sure you feel emotionally attached to their product but some people make it their whole personality.

It’s beyond too seriously, it’s their whole lives.

9. Talk about ruining a good thing.

Food. There are some people I hate eating round, or even discussing food because they will bitch about how its not traditional, or you haven’t had x food unless you’ve been to Japan / Italy etc.

Shut up, let me eat my pasta!

8. Focus on the message.

Criticism.

You can tell who is an immature person and mature person, when they attack the messenger instead of the message

7. Enjoy the view!

Driving places as quickly as possible. (Assuming you’re not an ambulance driver or something)

6. It’s not a contest.

dating. you can have fun and be yourself. go home and watch a movie together. you don’t have to do extravagant, expensive things to enjoy yourselves.

5. Let them be little.

Their child’s extracurricular activities. Sports are the biggie, but I’ve seen some diva levels of stage parenting over their kid being cast in the school play, parents demanding to know why their precious son wasn’t first chair of the school band, why they were only treasurer of the Debate Club and not Captain…like, get over yourself Karen.

Little Brayden is just doing this to flesh out a college application spot or just want to kick around a soccer ball with his mates for an hour or so.

Freaking pull your head in.

4. Just buy what you like.

Android vs iOS

I have nothing against Apple, but I find their crazy fanboys insufferable. I have a few friends who use an iPhone and they use every little opportunity to shit on my Android phone.

I mean it’s a piece of technology, not a religion or cult. People should just use whatever the fuck they want and what works for them.

3. Just have fun.

Video game console wars. Play what you wanna play who cares what other consoles people have.

2. Take a look in the mirror.

Oh, and Reddit. When you’re 20 comments deep into a heated argument on some tiny, obscure subreddit for Swedish 40-43 year olds with hook hands, stop and take a look at yourself.

1. All of it.

Life in General. People are way to stressed and pressed about everything. Most issues really arnt that serious and can be solved easier with less time complaining/feeling sorry for yourself and more time solving the issue.

A lot of problems can also be solved by ignoring them and taking yourself out of the situation.

I wholly agree, y’all. We all need to chill out a lot more!!
