Dads have a particular brand of humor and parenting that moms can’t really emulate – not that we would want to. It’s charming but a bit irresponsible, and it definitely doesn’t waste time emptying the dishwasher or folding piles of laundry every day.
Ahem.
Even so, we love funny dads like these 10, and they’re hilarious take on parenthood.
10. That’s why you enjoy every phase while it lasts.
You never know how long it’s going to be.
My kid just turned 5 and went on a streak of good behavior because “I’m 5 now, daddy.” Anyway, that was a fun 30 minutes.

You must lay down the law or pay the price.

7. It happens to the best of us.
Sorry, Alexa. It’s your turn.
My kids just asked Alexa the same question 40 times in a row and I'm pretty sure I heard a sigh before the 36th answer.

6. Especially if they’ve sneaked off to a corner.

3. Nah, someone in school will tell her.
Let the adorable last as long as possible.
Kids mispronouncing things is super adorable but at some point I will have to tell my daughter we don’t put Farmer John cheese on spaghetti.

2. Mine does this, too.
I think to myself, “it DOES seem like a long time ago!”
My 4yo used the phrase “a long time ago today” to describe the morning and it’s probably the most accurate description I’ve ever heard.

1. I also hate getting into the shower.
But I never want to get out. Humans!
Parenting books never prepared me for how much time I’d spend arguing for kids to get into and then out of the shower.

I want to be a dad in my next life. If I can’t be a cat, at least. That’s my first choice.
How about you? Do you want to be a dad, cat or something else? Haha, no, I’m not really asking that.
